Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
